Should you wear a heavyweight jacket to work? If you have a job that doesn’t stop for thunderstorms or rain showers, the answer is yes. This ~Carhartt Men’s 104670 029 Shadow Storm Defender Loose Fit Heavyweight Jacket is built to stand up to rough weather so you can continue to get your work done.
Â
The Storm Defender waterproof and breathable technology included in this men’s heavyweight jacket stops water from getting in but still lets sweat get out. The 7.3-ounce (100% nylon) Shadow grey Storm Defender outerwear features fully-taped, waterproof seams, and it comes with a 10 K /10 K waterproof breathability rating, too. An adjustable droptail hem is in place for added coverage, and Carhartt designers included a full-zip front with inner and outer storm flaps.
Â
A detachable, drawcord adjustable roll-away hood on the men’s waterproof jacket anchors in place when it’s not in use, and there are internal rib-knit storm cuffs with hook-and-loop adjustable closures to help keep out the cold. The detachable hood gives you plenty of room for layering if you choose to do that. While it keeps the rain out, you can also enjoy the mesh-lined body for breathability. A special nylon taffeta sleeve lining makes for easy on and off, and the Wind Fighter technology tames the wind.
Â
For convenient storage, there’s a secure left chest zip pocket with a storm flap and a right chest drop-in welt pocket with drain vents. Two lower-front zip pockets include storm flaps as well, and the loose fit wind-resistant jacket has two inner hook and loop pockets.Â
